Volunteer & Mentor
Help students shape their future with AI.
Educators, technologists, college students, and community members can support K-12 AI learning — through the portal or in person.
Ways to Volunteer
Meaningful roles for every background.
You don't need to be an AI engineer to make a difference here. Our volunteers come from education, technology, community work, and many other fields. What matters most is a genuine interest in helping young people navigate AI with confidence and judgment.
- Workshop facilitator — Lead or co-facilitate live sessions for students in schools or community spaces
- Project reviewer — Review and give feedback on student project submissions through the portal
- Mentor — Support students during AI Studio activities and answer questions in real time
- Outreach & community — Help connect AI Workshop Center with schools, libraries, and community organizations
Volunteer accounts are invitation-only
To maintain the quality and safety of our platform — especially since volunteers work with minors — volunteer accounts are set up by our team after a short onboarding conversation.
Fill out our contact form to express your interest. We'll be in touch within a few days to learn more about you and how you'd like to help.
Get in TouchWhat Volunteers Get
A real role — not just a title.
Portal access
Volunteers get their own account in the portal with specific capabilities assigned by the admin team — workshop facilitation, project review, or student progress view.
Flexible commitment
Volunteer at the level that works for you — a single session, a multi-week series, or ongoing project review. We work around your schedule.
Real impact
Students in our program are learning to think critically about one of the most important technologies of their generation. Your time goes directly to that mission.
